CHS T&F Shines at D4 Relays!

We had a great night at the D4 relays!  All of our student athletes competed hard and posted many personal bests!  Every relay was very competitive and our boys 4x200 and LJ relays led the way with championship wins.  It is the 2nd year in a row Canton boys 4x200 are relay meet champions!

Boys: finished 4th overall with 20 points

Outdoor Banquet Recap

June 13th we hosted our Outdoor Banquet at CHS to celebrate the 2018 season! It has been and honor and privilege to work with this group of athletes and we as coaches have loved watching them grow and improve every day.


We had individuals ranked in the top 10 in the hock for the season in 10 different events, as well as many relays. Majority of these athletes drastically improved their times from their 1st meet to their last. We had 26 athletes compete at Divisionals in individual events and relays. There were many bright spots this year and continuing and expanding on those positives will ensure the team will continue to progress and see much success in the future.


Most importantly we have seen these young adults not only grow as track & field athletes but also as people. New friendships have been formed, unknown talents have been discovered, memories have been made, and teammates have turned into family.

A special thank you to all of the parents and family members that have helped in many ways throughout the season! Your help and support is truly appreciated!

Another thank you to our coaching staff! They care so much about our athletes on and off the track, and it is evident everyday!

And a special thank you to our captains this season. They have earned respect and admiration from their teammates, coaches, and competitors because of their hard work, positivity, encouraging attitudes, and team first mentality. I am extremely proud of what they have accomplished on and off the track this season. You have changed our program for the better and you should all be proud of what you accomplished this year.

A final thank you to our senior class. You have been an important part of our program! We will miss you all but know you will do great things! They exemplify all that is good about CHS Track and Field and they will be greatly missed.  Always remember CHS Track and Field is your family for life, please visit us whenever you are around. You are always welcome!

All Freshman Team Finish 10th at MSTCA Heptathlon

Canton Track & Field was represented by Maddie Rousseau, Leah Murphy, and Gabby McDuffie at the MSTCA Heptathlon earlier this month. These three competed hard in 7 events in 2 days!

As a team these three finished 10th overall.  Individually Maddie Rousseau was 17th, Leah Murphy 24th, and Gabby McDuffie 52nd out of 70 competitors!

They put in a lot of work and finished the season with some awesome performances!

Boys and Girls Teams Earn Hard Fought Wins Over Foxboro

The boys and girls teams battled all afternoon vs tough Foxboro teams to come out with the double win!

The girls team pulled out a thrilling win vs Foxboro 70-66!

Freshman Maddie Rousseau led the team earning 18 points with 1st place finishes in the 100 (13.0) 200 (26.7 *state qualifying) LJ (15'4.25") and 2nd TJ (31'3.5")
Fellow freshman Olivia Rodman was our 2nd leading point scorer on the day earning 16 points with 1st place finishes in the 400m (64) TJ (31'6.5") 2nd 400mh (70.4) and LJ (14'10")
Junior Sarah Collins was 2/2 on the day with 1st place finishes in the 400mh (69.2) and 800m (2:28)
Sophomore Bronwyn Mahoney earned 2 1st place finishes as well in discus and with a huge shot put PR (31'10")
Freshman Leah Murphy was 2nd 100m (13.1) and 3rd 200m (28)
Junior Captain Chloe Pennacchio was 3rd in the mile (5:59.2) and 2 mile (13:27)
Senior Captain Claire Belisle was 2nd 100mh with big PR (16.6) and 3rd TJ with another PR (31'0")
